Loratadine is an antihistamine 3 rounds strong, long-acting and strong activity in the peripheral histamine H1 receptors. Loratadine is a piperidine derivative related to azatadine, a long-acting histamine antagonist, does not cause drowsiness because it does not have a narcotic effect. |

Loratadine is rapidly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract after oral dose, peak plasma concentrations achieved in about 1 hour. Taking the drug with food, the bioavailability increased and time to peak plasma concentration slowed. Loratadine undergo metabolic quua level. Metabolism is descarboethoxyloratadine quality, strong antihistamine effect. The average half-life reported for Loratadine and desloratadine was 8.4 and 28 hours respectively. Loratadine linked to plasma proteins is about 98%, more desloratadine linked to plasma proteins. Loratadine and its metabolites have been found in breast milk, but does not seem to pass the blood-brain barrier at the level of significance. Most of equivalent dose is excreted via urine and faeces mainly in the form of metabolites. The pharmacokinetics of loratadine in children 6-12 years of age is similar in adults. In a single dose pharmacokinetic study in 13 children (volunteers aged 8-12 years) for 10ml loratadine syrup contains 10mg loratadine, the kinetic parameter values (AUC and Cmax) were compared to the equivalent dose 10 mg loratadine in elderly volunteers. |

Contraindications |
Unitadin is indicated for the relief of allergy symptoms such as seasonal allergic rhinitis such as: sneezing, runny nose, itching and other symptoms of allergic conjunctivitis.
Unitadin is also indicated to reduce the symptoms of urticaria and allergic skin disorders. |

12 years or more: 10mg oral Unitadin 1 members 1lan/ngay. Patients with renal or hepatic impairment should start drinking 10mg a day. Children 2-5 years may drink once 5mg/ngày. Children 6-12 years old can take 10 mg once. |
